You pretty much can talk to him about anything, some things may want to be left out but that's another story, bring up movies that look interesting, music that you like. Really, the sky is the limit.
After awhile you could even tell him stories about some things that you and friends of yours have done, within reason. Just make sure that you enjoy the topic as well.

talk to them about anything! Just let him know what you're interested in! It doesn't matter if you guys aren't in to the same thing. It's still possible to have a relationship with someone who isn't in to the same things you are. As long as you don't talk about it negatively its totally fine to let him know that you're not really in to art and that will still develop in to a conversation.
