 Ok Honestly you don't purposefully meet the one you'll love forever in a strip joint, bar, or places where people are not in thier right mind. A club is a way to meet people just make sure that they are sober.
Secondly, go places that YOU like to go. Usually the people there have the same intrests and opinions. Art loves may go to an art meuseam. Sports lovers would go to a football game. Party lovers to a club. But make sure it's a place where YOU (most importantly) can have fun. And in my own personal opinion, the guy you should love forever should be looking for you. Not the other way around. The guy is supposed to be chasing the girl. and the girl should give him interest with out seeming desperate. He'll show up where you'll least expect it.
My advice would be just go hang out with your friends at places you like to go alot. You'll find him when you stop looking.

 Essentially i would recommend places that are not alcohol fuelled, such as bars and clubs, i know people meet in these places all the time, but people are not the same when they have been drinking.
Evening classes, college courses, or starting a hobby that you really enjoy is a great way of meeting someone, because ultimately you share the same interest.
The fact is we are more likely to meet our potential patners when we least expect it, like when we are not even looking for them.
