reader, anonymous, writes (4 November 2008): It's going to hurt her no matter what, that's inevitable. I will tell you some things not to do though. After you break up with her don't act all happy and stuff. I remember when my friend's boyfriend broke up with her he was real sweet and gentle about it, but then he went over to talk to another guy and started joking around like nothing happened (he was laughing so loudly and obnoxiously) and it really hurt her feelings. She hates him now. So be considerate afterwards too. I hope that helps you some.
