How do I tell my male friend that I like him more then a friend?

Ive known him since Feb this year, met him at university. But at the time i had a bf. We dindt get that close until my relationship with my bf ended about 2 months ago. Then he started to talk to me a lot more....i duno if thats cuz he likes me or not.

he says im pretty, so i guess thats a hint he likes me. but i dont know. how do i tell if hes just being a friend or if he likes me?

how do i go about making moves/letting him know i like him?

rcn agony auntThere is no real key to making moves. I would say just let him know. Do it in a way that isn't uncomfortable. What I would do is during conversation, just briefly change the subject and say "I've been meaning to ask you something" wait for answer (means he's definitely has to listen now, bad joke but some guys do look and nod their heads when there mind is somewhere else) "I enjoy hanging out with you and I love the fact we can talk like this, would you consider going out with me sometime?" that's it, then wait for answer.

The reason I use the word "consider" it's lessens the impact, implies that I understand they have a choice (yes or no), and it takes the pressure off. It makes the situation much more comfortable to the one who has to answer and it's subtle for the one who asks.
