How do I tell a guy I like I'm not ready yet to date him?

Ok. So theres this guy i like at school and hes in two of my classes and i was talking to one of my friends and she told me that he said to her that he realllyyy likes me, and that he wants to ask me out, but wants to get to know me a little better first. So i was really happy about that! :D sooo... Hes on my brothers hockey team and they have an away tourament this weekend... That means we go to a hotel for a few days.... So he'll be there and he said he wants to chill with me :) .......so two questions,

1. What do i say to him if he asks me out?? How do i say no not yet in a nice way??

2. What do i say to my brother if he sees us togethor???

With any man, you need to be firm and clear. Men don't do hints. If he asks you out, simply say that you're very flattered, but that you're just not ready for any kind of relationship at the moment. He'll be hurt, but's it's better than stringing him along. As for your brother, all you have to say to him is you were with him because he's your friend.
