I really wish I could get to know him better, but I feel that it would be so awkward just walking up to him randomly and talking to him. Well u should start it out slow by just saying hi at how's it going just something like that and then when u guys are like talking and stuff just ask him if he wouldnlike to hang out then just get close to him that way;) good luck hope it helps;)

reader, anonymous, writes (22 March 2009): i am a junior in high school and i've been through what you're going through many times. the best thing you can do is join a club/sport/extracurricular he's in. subtly ask around and find out what he does, and join it! then you can get to know him through a school activity. e.g. he's in recycling club at school. join the recycling club, sit next to him at meetings, smile at him! in the hallway, initiate a conversation by asking him something simple - "hey, is recycling club meeting today?" and let the conversation flow from there. i've joined mock trial, newspaper, and french club just to get to know guys i thought were cute. it usually works out! - unless you actually get to know the guy and realize they're a jerk. haha :Pgood luck!!
