First, since you have one, or more classes together you could ask him if he wants to study some time. Either as part of a group or just the two of you alone. Once you're in your study session... at some point, talk about non-class related stuff where you have interests in common. Make a 'date' without it seeming like a date... to do one of your common activities. Eventually you'll get to know him much better... and one thing will lead (or not) to another... and you'll be able to find out.
Just from what you're talking about though... e.g. the eye contact and other 'friendly' gestures... he sounds like he likes you.
