writes: I'm not sure if or why i have stretch marks. i have white lines on my thighs that usually are a lot more visible in the bath where its hot. i thought stretch marks were like red or purple but these are white and have never been any other colour that i have noticed. i don't think i have put on any weight recently in fact i lost 5 pounds last time i checked on the scales which was only last week. my boyfriend will be back from his army base in 3 weeks and i need to figure how to get rid of them asap because although he always says he loves me just as i am i do feel quite self conscious about them.anyone got any ideas?thanks

 Although i haven't got stretch marks myself there is this girl at my work that has. She said she used a product called BIO OIL,and contains the break through ingredient purcellin oil, which is really effective on scarring stretch marks, blemishes ect. It can be obtained at Super Drug outlets, or search for it on Ebay under cosmetics.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 May 2007): They are caused by hormones acting on your skin. I got them in my early twenties but they don't show now. Get a good fake tan done to cover them, but you can't really erase them. Redness can be lasered away but that is not what you have. These are much more common than you think. My brother has them from a rapid growth spurt he once had and my boyfiend has them on his thighs. They are so common and once you realise this you will probably forget all about them.

well 1st of all you cant get rid of strech marks although theres rumors of creams but the fact is they dont go why are you so worried if your boyfriend loves you he would love you with strech marks and by the sounds of it it may not even be strech marks go doctors and check it out
