reader, anonymous, writes (2 February 2008): One way to rid yourself of obsessive thoughts is to see your doctor and tell him of your problem with this and any other anxieties or depressions that may happen to you on a daily basis. You may suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder, be depressed or have an anxiety disorder, only a professional can properly diagnose, but there are pills for this that are quite effective...this is only if this behavior is obstructing your life and causing you distress or others.
You may be a teen girl who is lacking self esteem and needs validation from the attention of men, so you get some pretty strong crushes....this is something lacking in you perhaps...work on building self esteem or self acceptance with the help of a good therapist perhaps....it is unrealistic to think that you will only work with other women as a way to control your thoughts.
Also, listen to the tapes that run through your head, and replace them with other behaviors like listening to music or reading a good book or talking to one of your friends about a different subject than what is running in your head over boys....eventually you will retrain your thoughts.

 I don't really think you can avoid being obsessed. You can try finding other things to be obsessed with instead of men. Try getting a hobbie, or something to do by yourslef.

 Your obsessions are still there, only the target has changed.You need to work in an environment where there are only women.Then you won't have obsessions with guys. But whether your obsessions will change from a guy to a girl is something I cannot predict.
