writes:so heres the thing i really like this guy but i've never even talked to him but were friends with the same people so i know he must be awesome. Anyway, my cousin went behind my back and told him i liked him and he said since he didn't know me he didn't know if he wanted to date me or not. i go to school with him and we have study hall the same time and we both go to the library i was wanting to know how to get his attention or better yet what i should say to him please help!

reader, anonymous, writes (8 May 2007): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questioni just found out today that over the weekend my cousin was flirting with him and now she likes him she totally has the advantage because she is more experienced than i am i felt so betrayed but now i want him even more how do i compete with that?

 Try to get him alone in the library so that if things don't go so well noone has to know. Firstly, ask him if your cousin said anything (even if you know the answer). Don't seem to keen at first and just chat with him and get to know him. Now he has no excuse not to like you. What always seems to work is if you be mysterious. If he asks for your number make an excuse to go but smile at him as you leave and tell him you will "see him around". In study hall don't sit next to him but do make eye contact with him once or twice. It's importanat that you make a good impression when you first get a chance to talk to him alone because that will leave him wanting to know more about you and that way the tables turn and he wants you. When your hanging with a bunch of friends smile subtly at him but not too much. Maybe engage in a private joke or game but silently so that your mates don't realise what your doing.
