 Depends on what means you have of contacting her. If you will see her again in person in the next week, talk to her then. Bring it up casually after some regular conversation (make her laugh first).
If you can't meet in person, phone text email Facebook. Whatever the highest tier available is, use that and only that.

because if you knew how many relationships never started because a person could ask or was to shy or scared
