If you were to take all the horoscopes and personality assignments from all variations of Astrological "Sun Sign" profiles, remove all labels and references to which sign they belonged to, then read them at random, there would be no possible way to tell which was which.
The majority of astrological "horoscopes" are random slices of vague advice cloaked in the mythology and mysticism of the people who have fallen for the astrological BS.
Like most belief systems, the majority of the "canon" and guidelines are general logical human morality cloaked in mysticism and contradictions.
As far as your relationship, it has more to do with the culture, upbringing, and education which fortifies and informs your personalities. Basing your relationship on general advice from random strangers (who claim they know how to make the star and planetary movements fit into a guide for your life) is total stupidity. Sorry if that's harsh, but reality is harsh.

 I dabbled in astrology long time ago, I did study it quite a bit in fact. Coming to the conclusion that it's fun and fascinating as a pastime, but... it's really all bullshit :). No offence meant , that's just my personal opinion.
Nevertheless, for being astrologically correct, we need to keep in mind and stress out that for evaluating the compatibility between two people , their birth sign ( or sun sign ) is basically no use, it just gives you very generic, broad indications,like : no, Aries is in opposition with Libra, so basically they are too different to get along, but there is often a lot of mutual attraction and curiosity because... opposite attract , I guess.
BUT, you should also know your, and his, risign sign, ot AS ,which is very important to say what image of ourselves comes out to people . Like, you could be born a Libra, but look and act much more like a Cancer or a Leo. Plus- and that's the important part, - you should know his Moon sign, ( in which sign the Moon was at the time of his birth ) that shows his emotional life , and his way to show love and emotions and to relate to people in general.
Like, if he is an Aries he is an independent ,passionate outgoing type, and a Libra may be a little too mild, too " nice " for his tastes- but then again if he has his Moon in a water sign, it would be ok, because he would not like very strong ot all-out-sexy girls. Most of all, you should know where is his Venus, because that precisely shows which is his ideal woman, the one he fantasizes about... if it's in Libra- bingo !
And so on and so forth, as you see, if you want to take this stuff seriously and literally( which personally I would not do , other than for killing time or have a laugh with friends )is much more complicated than just knowing your birth signs.
I can tell you, though, that Libra women are supposed to be very attractive, alluring and feminine, with inborn elegance, love of good manners and distaste for fights and confrontation so, if you match these Libra traits... who wouldn't like you anyway :)
