A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I messed around with my bf and genitals were touching after that I went on birth control because I was afraid.

My period came about 3 weeks ago but it was short and light. I started feeling pregnant and took a test just to ease my mind.

It was postitive!!! I took another one the next morning and it was positive too. The digital one said not pregnant.

3 days later I've started my period. How did this happen?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (25 April 2009):

Have you seen a doctor to clear up whether you really are pregnant or not? I would recommend doing that, because I've heard of people having periods even during pregnancy. Your ambiguous test results call for some professional advice, I think.

As for the pregnancy tests, they're usually pretty accurate, but they rely on hormone concentrations that theoretically aren't exclusive to pregnancy. Like I said, talk to a doctor to be absolutely sure of what's going on.
