i have liked this guy for nearly two years and it turns out he liked me too but we went out and things didnt work because we were way too good friends and it felt a bit weird, so we decided to break-up but i still really like him, so any ideas how i can get over him or even better how we could overcome this problem?

I'm not sure how to tell you to overcome the problem, but I'll say that it's always been my thinking that being best of FRIENDS first is the better way to a stronger relationship. You two already know all of each others' quirks, likes, dislikes, etc., and you still LIKE each other. How cool is that?

I'm sorry I can't give you any real advice. Just wanted to share my vote for option 2, because being in love with and being loved by someone who's also a friend is tops in my book.

just keep going, when you do make the transition from friends to boyfriend and girlfriend the closeness and love will be worth it.
