writes:I'm in the eighth grade, and well my story may seem a little confusing.. So in the beginning of the school year I was totally fine, until about a month after school started, I got into a bad situation that happened outside of school, and that caused me to have to transfer to a different classroom. In this new class, I only had two best friends that made me feel okay. They were friends with a boy who (at first) HATED me. Every time he'd see me coming, he'd tell someone to take a seat, so that I didn't have any where to sit. I was annoyed and upset by his ignorance, especially because he didn't even know me at all. So the two friends that he and I share, grew tired of how we acted around each other, she insisted that we stop being fools, and get to know each other so that the problem would fade on its own. So now we get along great, as a matter of a fact, I like him, a lot. And I think he likes me too, I'm just not sure. I know that I should be myself around him, and if he still doesn't like me well then that's okay, but I just wanna know if he likes me or not. One of my friends told him that I like him, and he said he already knows, but he didn't bother to say anything else. How can I tell that he feels the same way about me? This may seem unimportant, and small, but the school year is nearly over, and I want to see if I have a chance or not..

reader, anonymous, writes (1 January 2011): i am a littler bit younger but i know how you feel i had a situation similar to yours. i had a crush on my best friend and he knew but he never addressed it so i thought he didn't like me until he asked me out on a date so i went and he told me he liked me. now we have been going out for 9 months. But my point is talk to him and don't be afraid of rejection if you guys truly are friends he won't make fun of you for liking him just don't be shy to mkae the first move. :D GOOD LUCK!
