Its just i met this lad at college when i joined back in september we are in every lesson together and hang out at dinner and breaks. its just afew weeks ago i had this strange dream that i was just lying with him holding his hand and since then i've had feeling for him. This eventually wore off but since we went on a trip yesterday i couldn't stop looking at him and now i can't stop thinking about him. He seems quite shy and isn't like a lot of lads but is everything u'd want in a bf even though he isn't very good looking. We get on well at friends but haven't known each other long. I really wnat to stop feeling this way because i highly doubt he feels the same and shows no interest. Also up until now i haven't wanted a bf and i think if i had one i wouldn't be totally ready for it. but i really don't want to feel this way anymore unless there was anyway i knew he may feel the same. I don't even know why it was brought on. How do i stop feeling like this? and also do you know any reason why i suddenly started having feelings for him? I would also like to know what are the signs that a guy likes you?

OOPS! I meant to say that your feelings come from your thoughts.

Your thoughts come from your feelings. There could very well be some sort of hormonal influence there, too. Unfortunately, you can't turn off your feelings like a water faucet, can you?
Just feel the feelings until they dissipate. It's an uncomfortable exercise in patience, but it will strengthen you for larger, more challenging issues that certainly lie ahead.
There are as many signs that a guy likes you as there are guys in the world. Also, don't be concerned that he's not your idea of 'very good looking'. All kinds of things combine to attract us to people. I'm sure you've met someone that seemed to be gorgeous until you got to know him/her. Then, his/her vile personality made his/her features garish. How about the plain person that is so warm and engaging that he/she just shines with light? We've all met those people, too (thank Gawd).
Go with the flow. You'll look back on this and it will make you smile.
In fact, smile now. It will make you feel better! :)
