Question - (1 April 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 April 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend is in the navy and is currently away at sea!

The only form on contact we have is through emails, and he only gets a chance to check his emails once a day. He doesn't have a phone with him.

Does anyone have any idea how I would be able to get in contact with him if there was something urgent or an emergency he needed to know about or anything?

xxx please help

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (2 April 2009):

He should have told you about this.

Are you not in touch with his mum? She will know about this too. Call her and check.

My hubbie is in the army and when he is away we get given a card with the emergency number for the Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre (JCCC)

You call them with his name, ship and service number etc and they call his boss on the ship. He'll then get called into the office and told about it. Sometimes they will let him use the Captain's phone to call you for a while. (They did that when my hubbie's graddad died.) If the emergency is really bad, like someone in his immediate family has died, then they will pop him on a helicopter and send him home.

As his next of kin, they will have given his mum all the details of this so call her and she will be able to explain it.

Good Luck!! xx
