writes:Hey there hero's.So I'm feeling really lost in my life at the moment. I seem to be running on a loop. Changing some things and making the same mistakes again with others.I feel I need to get away from everyone in my life just for a while so I can clear my mind.I've found I'm unable to concentrate at school for as long as I used to. I'm not as motivated at home as I used to be and I just feel, well I don't feel anything to be honest. I feel like I'm an empty shell.I've been feeling this way for a few years now.I know it could be down to hormones but nonetheless I would like to clear my mind still.How can I get away, without totally ruining my life further?  I think most of what you feel has simply got to do with your age. Growing pains :)
But,you mention lack of concentration,lack of motivation and feelings of emptiness, which are common symptoms in depression.
You could take a self evaluation test on line, like Beck Depression Inventory and Zung Self-Rated Depression Scale.
If you score high, go talk to your doctor.
