A reader, anonymous, writes (19 April 2011):

It just takes time I was in a relationship with a guy for a year and a half. I dumped him four months ago and I still find myself thinking about him and even dreaming about him, but the thoughts, dreams, memories, and hurt are slowly fading away.

Don't punish yourself by listening to songs that remind you of him, or going to places the two of you frequented, or anything else that brings back memories of him. Spend lots of time with your new boyfriend, friends, and family. Go out, have fun, and do things that you enjoy to keep your spirit up.
