Hi,

I've been chatting to this guy online, we a have a couple of mutual friends but we've never met. I like him, but he's recently said he's in love me with - which I think is a bit much considering we've never met. He wants me to meet up with him but I'm really not sure I feel that way about him, but he seems like a really nice and guy and I dont want to hurt his feelings, but things just seem to have got out of control. I dont like talking about my feelings and I've never been in any sort of relationship so I'm finding this really difficult at the moment. I think that for me having an online relationship isnt the right thing for me at them moment but I dont know how to tell him this - any suggestions ?

oldbag agony auntHi

He can't be *in* love your right, he has built up a fantasy and now wants to meet.He clearly likes you so its the next step to move to the real world.

If it's really not what you want then tell him so,be honest with him. As you have mutual friends its not like he's a total stranger so just tell him your not looking to date, just chat,be friends. If he gets weird about it then stop chatting to him online

If your not a 100% sure you dont want to date him, then meet him,in the DAY,somewhere open and public(to be safe), for a coffee or lunch. At least you will know if your attracted to him or not in person.

Or arrange to meet with the mutual friends and him.

Trust your gut feeling to decide, it's always best.
