He's trying to cope with our break up..how can I help him?

Okay I'm gonna try to keep things simple here...Ive liked this guy since 4th grade..and in 8th grade I finally got him. Things were going well for a middle school relationship I guess until a high school boy started liking me..so of course I chose him..my boyfriend was very upset and he hasn't had a girlfriend until now..our junior year. They just recently broke up and he's really heartbroken..I want him back more than anything but he's in this man whore stage trying to cope with the break up I guess...how do I go about getting him back? I know there's no way he will date anyone right now but I just want him to know that I care about him so much..I just don't know how to help him
