this works like a charm. play him at his own game.
ignore him for abit, he will then start to wonder what has gone wrong with his playing hard to get and will be running after you in no time.

Wow.
Lets look at the situation for what it is. You broke up with this guy who you were "so in love with" for "no reason". He got a new girlfriend... and now, you want him back.
Did you ever think that maybe he isn't trying to act hard to get, and maybe he really does want to stay faithful to his current girlfriend?
You need to leave this guy alone, let him be happy. If for some reason things don't work out with the girl he's with, and you still have feelings for him, then go for it. Otherwise, take a step back.
