I have two best friends, a boy and a girl. We're all inseparable however there are a few problems. The girl, I have no problem connecting with and she has none with me. The boy, however, mostly doesnt open up to me, but he will to her. He also tells her things I dont think he'll ever tell me, it's almost like he's playing favorites, but not intentionally. I dont want to lose either of them as a friend, and I dont want to speak up in a way that'll ruin our "trio" but I don't know what else I can do. Any ideas?

ilovebowsandcherries agony auntyeah there are somethings guys can't talk to guys about maybe he does want too but he doesn't want to make you feel awkward and because she's a girl girls are easier to talk and you both confide in her so seems that he talks more to her but he probably is embarressed or shy to tell you these things as you are his only guy friend.

well, i feel like i can tell either one of them anything, although, it is true that he said it is kinda weird, maybe it has something to do with gender cuz i kinda am one of his only male friends

ilovebowsandcherries agony auntwell maybe he is like you and he finds it easier to talk to her.

i mean i am sure you tell her things he doesn't know about you.

i don't think it's playing favourites i think it's more she understands more and is easier person to talk too.

maybe he doesn't share these things because he feels uncomfortable saying these things like maybe you'll make fun of whatever he has to say and not take it seriously.

not at all favourites just perhaps he has a bigger connection with the girl as do you.

nothing to worry about :)
