hi just a quick one, been here before, just need a little advise on what to do, my man, who i have been with for over a year and half, and we are in LDR, but we are fully committed do all a LDR does, he has a bit of a hard time telling me his feelings, hes shy and i am, but my feelings to him come natural thats the person i am, has no problem showing me them, so i always think actions speak louder than words, but the past view days when we been talking on msn, and saying night night hugs kisses, it brings up little animatons instead of the word, but he has just started to add the love word, such as night night LOVE hugs kisses this means a lot to me, and just wondering do i tell him it means a lot to me, or would i embarass him, as he has a hard time to say his feelings, or do i just ignore it and let him carry on adding this love animation, and go to bed all happy knowing he has said this lovely word to me, and i feel must of taken a lot for him to say it as well, it seems hes slowly adding his feelings any advice please i know the love word some people use it all the time, but with him he finds it hard to say, i know hes not actually saying it, but hes added it to the night time words he usually says, shall i let him know i have noticed, or should i just carry on as if nothing new, and hope he adds more as time goes on thanks,

oh thank you so much for your lovely answers, and yes i do use the word love, and since i started to do he did, i did a few days ago declare my love for him and i think he was taken back cause he did not say anything back, but since i said it thats when he started to use the love word on msn, its a start as i said he does find it hard to say his feelings but showing them to me not a problem, so yes i will enjoy it while its there and wont mention i have noticed him doing this, and hope its does increase or hopefully next time he sees me might just tell me to my face could be thinking of what and how he can say it to me now, but i think he will save it for when we are together in bed, when he can just lay there touching and feeling my body, and stroking my face and putting my hair away from my face gently, and looks in to my eyes, i can see he loves me he says it with his eyes, and actions, so i am hoping thats when he tells me, even if its just the once i will then know he does truely love me, cause with it taking him so long to say it, i know he will mean it wont be a word it will be a meaning, thats why its worth waiting for thanks again all for your lovely messages.

This is why it for me too. First of all, he never use any icon faces that could be misconstured as innapropriate; he asked for my permission first (so if he wanted to kiss me, even on the cheek with an emoticon, he asked first). This was AFTER he told me he loved me. Well, first he said he liked me...then he he had to get more comfortable with the love word. I never said I loved him back for like 3 months; I just accepted it and acted happy.

Why not be happy? He loves YOU!!!

Cerberus_Raphael agony auntHave you tried using the word 'love' as well? That would show him that you did notice and it does mean alot to you and there would be little or no risk of embarassment. But only use that word if you really mean it.

I hope that helps.

Priyanka09 agony auntSince he is quite shy and inexpressive of his feelings, I think its better not to tell him. That might make him conscious and he might stop saying so. Id suggest just enjoy this feeling for now...If it increases, and he uses it more often than just in the night, you may also reciprocate by saying I feel the same or something. But for the moment, enjoy the feeling!!!!
