writes:I've know this guy in my 9th grade PE class, and I don't know whether he likes me or not, because everyday when we come to class he will come sit right by me and start talking to me. He's considered an annoying person to everyone because he has a missing front tooth, likes to be a class clown and make nasty sounds or say immature things out loud. I'm really one of the few people that talks to him, and everyone says that he likes me 'cause he's around me all during PE, but he denies it. Today since it was cold outside he held me tight said that I was warm and soft. He said he knows that everyone will say that we are boyfriend and girlfriend, but he doesn't care, and sometimes he asks me if I want a piggy back ride, (and I say heck no!!). Everytime he sees me, whether in the mall or at school, he'll scream my name, run into me or hug me from behind to get my attention. He claims he has a girlfriend (not that anyone has ever seen her) but he still acts like this to me. What does all of this mean?

Do you think maybe you could write your feelings in a note? I am shy too, so I know how hard it is but you know what its really worth it XD. Is there no way to see him over the summer? Why not ask about his summer plans just casually, then may be you could somehow meet up in summer too? Unless your family goes away all summer. Good luck to you XD

But I'm very shy so I wouldnt have the courage to ask him out or make a move in any kind of way. He probably doesn't even know that I like him because when I like someone, I don't show it that much. Plus we only have 8 days left in high school then were off for the summer. I guess unless I tell him how I feel or he tells me how he feels within the last 8 days, we'll have to wait all the way to next year to see each other :(

I think your right about actions speak louder than words because today we had a school festival and he held my hand while we walked around and then before I left to go home, he kissed me on the cheek and gave me a hug. Even though when i asked him why he kissed me and he said that its just because I'm his best friend, I think he did it because he likes me :)

To me it sounds like he does have crush (actions speak louder than words) but since so many people have rejected him, he might be afraid he'll scare you off if he confesses his feelings to you. He's quite probably been rejected many times before and you may be his first real friend so naturally he won't want to spoil that. If you have romantic feelings for him then there's no reason you can't tell him so, he may not believe you at first he might even think you are making fun of him and become upset but if you are sincere he will eventually come to realize that, if you like him as only friend let him know that as well, you don't want him agonizing over how to tell you and getting his courage up only to be crushed when you reject him, so be clear and set boundaries if you decide to just be friends, talk to him but don't let him get away with all the touchy feely stuff b/c he will probably get mixed signals and won't truly understand.
On another note I was nice to the annoying girl in my school, now I am female and she started following me around all the time and blowing kisses at me, its possible she liked me but it could also be she was just so lonely and in need of attention that is caused her to act out oddly.
