A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (23 September 2009):

Is there a reason that you're so shy and jump to conclusions? Maybe something in the past? (A guy treated you badly or something?) There's no rush for you to find a guy. Find the right one. Not the wrong one. If you want to find one though, find a hobby that you enjoy where males are also present. Then you'll at least have something in common with them. Then be brave and speak to them and see where it goes.
