A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My boy friend and I just got back together, and we made love like we always do. Sex with him is amazing! We discussed a lot of things today and he mentioned that when we made love it was emotional for him. I didn't understand that comment...so I need your opinion. What do you think that mean?

oldfool agony auntThat is a fantastic compliment. Of course that's the way it should be, but he is saying that sex is more than just the mutual fulfilment of an appetite. It's a way of expressing love. The fact that he feels it so strongly as to say it to you is a tribute to your emotional and sexual bond.

It means that sex is about more than physical contact for him. It's a way of expressing his feelings for you.
