 stay friend with him, but just accept that while he has met new friends he will want to spend time with them, maybe more so while its early in the friendship and they're having fun. make some new friends too if you can. sometimes the lifelong friends are not the ones that you see all the time, as life takes you in difference directions but they are probably the ones that you can depend on and they will know you forever.
try not to be bitter, there is no need for your friendship to end over this
