I had to have it out with my son's taxi driver today after he didn't do his job properly but I ended up loosing the battle of making my point.

Just before he was about to drive off he told me that my son had said from the back of the car that I looked 'a nerd' in the jumper I was wearing, I told him (the driver) that I didn't give a toss because it was keeping me lovely and warm. The driver then said 'so is my car' and closed the window and I said 'what was that' and he opened the window and said 'my car is warm as well' and I said 'why do I need to know that' and he didnt reply and drove off.

The other day my son told him I was in my dressing gown and the guy said he was cold and wished he was snuggled under his duvet and I said to him from afar have you just got up or done nightshift and he said just got up and I said well you will just have to cope with it then.

Was he implying anything more with the first comment or was it just a normal comment.

DrPsych agony auntSorry this sounds like a storm in a tea-cup. The taxi man was just passing the time of day with you. Frankly if he is reliable and trust-worthy with your son I cannot understand why you would wish to confront him over what he said. The priority is that he is a safe, reliable driver. If he offends you then you just shouldn't speak to him at all.

aunt honesty agony auntIt sounds to me like it was just a normal comment. If you think anymore from it then just come out and ask the man what he meant!!
