A female , anonymous writes:

I have been seeing my boyfriend for 5 months. He is uneducated not "up to date" with general issues because he is from the country. I continuously let these small issues get in the way of my love for him. I am drifting away from him. He knows this and he loves me a lot. I don't want him out of my life completely. How can I get past these small faults of his and allow us to continue our relationship.

Jadzia1127 agony aunt Drifting apart is a natural thing in many dating relationships, it is your mind telling you that even if he is a great guy he is not your great guy. You might need to consider letting this relationship go to a friendship and look for someone a bit more compatible for you.

There is a very wise and old saying, 'Date with your eyes WIDE OPEN then close them half way when married.'

The little things that bug you while dating will bug you to distraction if you ever get married. If you ever do marry new little things will come out and only stack up on the old things that will be driving you crazy by then.
