First time sex.. late period , HELP!

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I am 17 and have been with my boyfriend for 7 months... on the 14th I had protected sex with him my period is normally on the 15th its 3 days late.. it's NEVER late. I don't have any symptoms of being pregnant but I keep being hungry and needing a wee more then usual.. I can't tell my mum as she is very strict and don't get along much as it is, please help. I don't want to go to the doctors either.

As unlikely as it is it is possible, I got pregnant when my period was due in that week (talk about unlikely). Try not to panic, like everyone said wait a week and see if it comes and if it doesn't then test. Good Luck.

Don't panic, the chances are so slim its rediculous. You are still young enough that your body hasn't had time to be 100% on time all the time. Take a test in a week if you still don't have it but i would't worry.

DoubleM agony auntI think it is a bit too early to start worrying about this. A first time sexual intercourse is likely to throw your normal schedule off a bit. It may even cause you to skip a beat. Keep us informed, but give it a few days before you fret too much. Stress may also affect your cycle.
