Okay, the old cliché "I'm stuck between the man I love and the man I'm in love with." that's never been more true. I'm dating this guy, and he's amazing! He spoils me to death and he holds me close everyday and tells me he loves me. We've been dating for about 6 months now...all of my friends say I could do better. That last month, all we've done is fight. He's been 'snappy' towards everyone and though we don't fight all the time, we fight more often than what I think is normal. I do love him. BUT recently, my first love moved back in town and we've become great friends again. Lately, all I can think about is him. My friends keep telling us "it's like old times having us together." and how we still look just as cute together as we always did before. I'm loving him more and more everyday that I see him. He's come over with flowers just because, and we went to the movies with a group of friends and we held hands...I'm so confused, I don't know what to do or where to ever start thinking of a solution to all of this. Please help me!

A reader, Wise Worm, writes (6 January 2005):

Well, my first question would be, why did you and your first love break up? Secondly, break it off with the guy you are with at the moment, your head is already with someone else and it is just plain unfair towards him. He is probably being "SNAPPY" because he is unhappy and can pick-up whats going on.

If you allow feelings for someone else to grow so far, its too late to pretend it never happened. Your current boyfriend is better off without you, he will find someone who is inlove with him.

Never settle with someone you like, because they will find someone who is in love with them.
