First date, first kiss... few concerns

Hi, i'm 15, and I got my first boyfriend last night. I'm really happy about that, i really like him, but there are a few things that are worrying me.

1: our first kiss

Basically what happened is he kissed me for a long time and then asked me out. It was my first kiss ever. It wasn't his.

Now that i think about it... what if it was bad? I was taken by surprise, and my eyes were open. Not to mention, i'm worried my breath smelt bad. I don't know.. he kissed me multiple times after that but still... what if i suck at it?

2: telling my parents

My older sister's boyfriend was when she was 16. My parents would be cool with me dating, but i don't want to tell them. I don't like talking about boys with them, and i feel like they're going to be so awkward and embarassing. I don't want to lie. But I'm so scared to tell them.

3: what if we break up?

He is in 2 of my classes for the first half of the year (we have block scheduling) and if we break up, that will be so awkward. I mean what do i do if that happens and its still the first semester?

Thanks everyone. Also i'm a sophomore, i turn 16 in a few months, and i know I'm young. I know I'm going to get a lot of "you shouldn't worry about that now", and i understand why i would get those answers. But it already happened, so i can't exactly go back on that. I'm kind of stuck worrying about it. Thanks

I wish I was still worrying about these things.

1)Dear if he kissed you more than once the chances of your breath being bad is very unlikely. If you think about it can you smell his breath when your kissing? I'm guessing your answer is no.

Kissing gets better with practice its just something you have to learn by practicing. Talking with your boyfriend is the best option.

2) Telling your parents is the best option no matter how much you don't want to and how awkward it will be. Parents will embarrass you no matter what age you are. But I agree with Desiree asking your sister to help you tell them is a good idea. You parents love you and they will be supportive of you. If you tell them you avoid the lying, and it will make it less awkward when you want to have your boyfriend over to you house when you want to hang out.

3)You don't know if you will break up yet you are still in that new phase of your relationship. If it works out that is great but if it doesn't and you break up you can always option to stay friends and it doesn't have to be awkward.

Don't worry about breaking up it will only stress you out more and make you afraid to live. If you think it would make you feel better talk to your boyfriend or your sister or your best friend. Don't ever let a boy push you to do something that you aren't ready for, yes its probably the most cliche thing I can say but its true.

Congratulations on finding your first boyfriend.

1. Kissing gets better with practice. Take it slow. Relax. Read up on books. Talk to your boyfriend. Actually, ideally you should be able to talk to your boyfriend about things like this. He should be sensitive enough to understand that your'e new at this, and you should both work through it together. It's fun!

2. If it makes you feel more comfortable, get your sister and tell your parents together. But I don't really see why you feel the need to tell them, especially if you are not doing anything wrong. Parents care for you. But your love life is your business. I don't know. I didn't tell my parents lots of things. But then again my parents are different.

3. What if you break up and have to see each other again? Unfortunately, that is life. Suck it up. It's all a part of growth, dealing with awkward situations. And anyway, don't predict the future negatively. I'd cross that bridge when you get to it.

Good luck!
