Just wanted to rant and get it off my chest.

I feel like everyone in my uni are enjoying their holidays except for me. I have to resit an exam, so have to revise over the summer. Everyone seems like they are doing something- all the time, going on holidays and going out with friends. I don't have many friends, and they are away. I can't go on holiday because I have my resits. It really sucks and sometimes I feel its not fair because I work extremly hard in uni. However I know this year when I start uni, it will be fun- so I have something to look forward to.

A female reader, Phoebe Halliwell United Kingdom +, writes (22 July 2006):

Phoebe Halliwell agony auntHey,

why don't you try balancing out relaxing and revising time? don't ignore your revision - but try to break it down to something like two hours a day at least? Then you have the rest of the day to enjoy yourself And you can revise!

Unfortunately - life is cruel. And sometimes it's not fair. But this exam you are revising for (and I have every bit of confidence in you passing by the way your post is written) may just open up new doors for you that your friends (who didn't resit the exam and spent summer partying) also do. This exam could open up new opertunities. Keep working hard and when revision gets you down do what I do - imagine the things this exam could open up to you and think of your friends as missing out on the new things it could present.

Try to have a good time - if not, after your exam you'll probably find some way to laugh about it!

Hope this Helped and I Hope You do Well!

Phoebe

Tine agony aunthow about going out with family members? by going out to pubs and clubs with them, your guaranteed to always have something to talk about and by doing things with them then this will give you a chance to meet new people rather than relying on your other friends who are away when you need them. You'llnot be studying 24/7, nobody does so take time out and do things you like so you'll have a good summer too
