When "Aunt Rose" comes to visit my girlfriend I can't keep her happy for anything, and when she gets mad it carries past Aunt Rose's monthly visit. You girls out there how can I keep it under control and keep her happy?

You cant. get her to see her doctor if its really that bad and maybe they will be able to help.

Try keeping out of her way at these times too, i know its not ideal, but theres really not much else you can do!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (14 July 2005):

Just understand that she is having a hormonal imbalance at this time, I get the same way with my beau, for me it feels like a slow pressure building up and I feel like I am going to explode(I keep it under control, usually after about a week of feeling this way I feel pretty bad about it. So just be a lil nicer to her around this time and remember its nothing you have done or said its just a girl thing and it will blow over.

Rebecca Batchelor agony auntThere are a variety of supplements available at chemists that your girlfriend could purchase such as Evening Primrose Oil which is meant to be excellent for menstrual difficulties.

A visit to her doctor could be an idea if she really is that bad. Perhaps you could tentatively suggest it to her?

There isn't much you can do really apart from suggesting to her that she gets some kind of help as well as keeping out of her way!

You can't exactly keep it under control. She has to try and manage it herself and a trip to the doctor could make your lives a lot easier.

Good luck.
