writes:I have had a tingling feeling in my genital area and legs all week. I have these tiny open sores all on the left side of my vaginal area. I think I may have herpes. I am planning on seeing a doctor but can't until monday due to the holiday. in the meantime, does this look like or sound like herpes to anyone? a link to my pic is enclosed and sorry it does look gross so if ur grossed by stuff like that don't look.(Mod Note to poster: sorry, pictures like that aren't quite allowed here.)

 Kind of sounds like herpes or some sort of STD, but then again it could always be something totally different. Only a doctor will be able to tell you for sure. But if you are asking this that way, I'm guessing you are sexually active and have reason to believe that it could be a std, therefore my bet would be that it is a std like herpes.. but then I never did win anything in Vegas.

reader, anonymous, writes (3 July 2009): well it can be that and it might be syphilis (sorry my spelling sucks =() becuz my dad had it around his gential area and it looked lik huge pimples it also mite be a cyst (I don't think that's how u spell it etheir =(. ) but ethier ways that's kinda bad but u can cure syphilis

Definately go to the doctor. It's very possible its herpes. You can google pictures of herpes if you are curious, and compare what you have to them.
