Does my hubby's mate fancy me?

A female , anonymous writes:

My hubby has been telling me that he reckons that his mate fancies me. Thats nice to hear from a compliment type of view. However the last few times he has rung up he says 'are either of you available to come out tonight' whereas he used to say is 'is J free tonight'. So I played him at his own game tonight when he rang and asked whether we were free and I said 'I would love to but I've got three kids to look after' his reply was 'oh - well is J free tonight'.

I jokingly said straight after to my hubby 'tell M sorry that I had to turn him down' and M replied to him 'never mind there is always another time'.

I asked my hubby if the guy was mucking around and he said well I think he likes you and I reckon if you had said yes he would have gone to the pub for a drink with you. This I find quite strange.

He knows that we can't get a babysitter at short notice but he has enjoyed chatting to me when we have all three been out together in the past. This guy is married and none of my hubby's other mates ask me the same question.

I'm hoping that what M said was a play on words and there was nothing in it - him just being polite in conversation with me.

willywombat agony auntFor you to pose this question makes me think you have had thoughts in this general direction. Be careful in case things get out of hand and you destroy your marriage.

Well do you want to sleep with him?

[pauses to observe your possible facial expressions]

If you bluntly tell me that you don't want to screw around with him, then you have nothing to worry about. [wink]

This question is meaningless, unless it's purely to satisfy your own curiosities, but please know that curiosities do have 'limits'. Then again, those same 'limits' are really self-created.
