A male reader, anonymous, writes (27 April 2008):

yes fat does affect the size of your penis. i believe it is every 10 or 30lbs of extra fat = 1inch of hidden penis under fat. i forget which number it is, i'll let you google it though

Sadly enough, it does effect size. For every 50lbs you lose you gain 1". But remember, penis size isn't everything. Most women prefer 5-7". Look it up xD.

Emilie agony auntHey honey, may i just say... you're still growing!! Why are you worried about if youre fat or not?! Its impossible to call yourself fat at this age. It's silly. Until you are at least 16 you should not worry about your weight.Just sit back, relax and have fun! Your still a child and shouldn't be worried about such things. As for your penis size, You are still growing in this area too, you could gain a good couple of inches honey in this direction!! soooo don't worry :) I'm sure you will be fine :) Good luck for the future xxx

A male reader, SumYungGuy United States +, writes (3 August 2007):

SumYungGuy agony auntYour BMI (Body Mass Index - a number that healthcare professionals use) is 27.5. So you fall in the 'overweight' category and not the 'obese' category.

Are you too fat? If you like/love how you look, then by all means go with it. No one can tell you what makes you feel good about you.

Does body fat effect penis size? The short answer is no. Your penis size is already determined. HOWEVER, body fat does effect the APPEARANCE of the penis size. The fat located in the abdomen (stomach) and pelvic area builds and pads the areas surrounding it. Because the fat will begin to grow outward, it will begin to 'hide' the penis under this layer of fat.

So what am I saying? If your penis is 5 inches long, it's gonna be 5 inches long whether you're fat or skinny. If you're fat, it will appear as though your penis is smaller because an inch or two will be 'hiding' under the layers of fat. If you're thin, then you won't have the hiding effect and more of the penis will be visible to see and play with :)

Hope this helps.

A female reader, nailglitter18 Iceland +, writes (3 August 2007):

nailglitter18 agony auntI don't know about penis size, but according to your BMI (Body Mass Index) you two are both into the 27 number. You are overweight, unless you have significanly more muscle than the average person (athletes have this problem).

Not to worry, if you want to lose those extra pounds, take a look at your diet and try to substitute healthier alternatives for some of the things you eat. I.e. eat wholewheat pasta instead of white - then you can stick to the serving sizes (pay attention to those!), get more fiber, and stay full longer. Pay attention to "extra" ingredients in the foods you eat: sugars (corn syrups, glucose, fructose, dextrose, anything ending with 'ose') are a big source of hidden calories, and they contribute to sugar crashes that make you hungry sooner. Try to sneak in a little extra exercise when you can: take the stairs instead of the elevator; walk or ride a bike instead of drive; even adding a little half hour walk in the morning or evening with your love can make a difference. You can use that time to catch up on things going on with each other, thoughts and stuff. It can be a very valuable, get-healthy, heart-to-heart time. :)

Good luck!
