writes:Evening,i want know if any one else gets this emotional.I am an animal lover and have pets and love them to pieces and they are look after and loved. What upsets me is when i see things on tv where animals have been treated badly and abandoned. For example this summer i went abroad and there were some stray dogs along the street as we were going to a restaurant-they looked so sad and it upset me so much taht i couldnt eat anything and felt so teary. I even saved my food and then went and found them to feed them!! I seem to get so attached to animals and if i know tha they are abandoned it just plays on my mind.I do send money to animal charities but unfortunatly i dont havee much spare time so volunteering at animal sanctuaries isnt possible at this time.am i over sensitive???

Hi there! No, you are not over-sensitive, you are perfectly normal for loving animals the way you do. You are not alone - which is great news, just think all those fellow animal lovers treat animals the way they are supposed to be treated: with love, care and kindness. In fact, you pretty much described how I feel about animals too and everyone knows I can go a bit OTT when it comes to getting upset or wanting to save and rescue them all. I currently have two guinea pigs and two rats and have always brought home strays or injured animals since I can remember. This is something I too feel strongly about and we should be proud we have such kind hearts. Respect to you! And I am so glad animal lovers are no dying race xx

 There is no shame in being a sesitive person.People have differnet kind of love and emotions that they attach themselves to.Animals are no different.
There is so many hatred in the workld peopel kiling each other and trying to destory each others lives....and in the middle of all this if you find a person pure of heart as you who has no relation to that other being but you stil pity them for they situation is a very good thing.
You are among the few blessed with the people of love and kindness,it is not a thing to be ashaned of but a thing to be shared and showed to other people.
Keep up your good work and don't let anything stop you.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 December 2008): NO you not overreacting .people are so cruel to defence animals who did nothing out of the way just minding there own .people have some cheek taking away animal life that is meaniful. animals have evry right to live a humans do even more so.people are such pricks to do such a horrible thing is beyond me.some people make profie from animal sufeferin in caometic companies and science labs.they should be law bannin this behaviour its murder to take life from kind animal who has right to live and be happy.
keep up the good work and pick you hoilday more carful like not asia or parts where you migh suspect this going on stick more freindly climates,and research before going hoildays . and report any animal cruely you,d save animal life weather be cat ,a dog ,horse ,cow,puppys,kitten all neeed a good home and some one like you to love them and care for them.
