there is a guy who has been in my life for a long time. 2 years ago we became really close and started to somewhat see eachother but things didn't work out in the end just for various reasons. i was hurt a lot but picked up and moved on. we have become very close over the summer and see eachother lots. everyone knows there is something there, but it always has been. but he's a shy person and doesn't quite have the guts to come right out with feelings or asking a girl out. another problem is, he's moving far away to school because of a magnificent opportunity. i don't want to wait around and sell myself short, but at the same time i don't really want to let go of this feeling. he leaves in a few days and i know nothing will happen or be said. so what do i do? for all i know he'll meet some girl at school who will sweep him away, but maybe not. Do I save space for him in my life or just let go of these feelings and move on?

I think you should let go of your feelings for this boy as he is moving away what really could become of any relationship, wish him well in his new life then you get on with yours.
