If you don't want to say it in front of your Mom, either find a way to go inside without her or try this:
When the doctor asks you about it, raise your eyebrows suggestively or look pointedly at your Mom. He'll probably take the hint and ask your Mother to leave you two alone or he will know you did have sex without you saying it.
Anyways... it's important to be examined by a Gynecologist after you've had sex. You could have infections and not know about it.

It is important to tell the doctor because if you have had sex then they will do a pregnancy test and STD test before they put you on the pill. They will also encourage u to get a papsmear to make sure everything is ok. Keep in mind that your mom doesn't have to be in the room with you.

Tell him, your going on the pill so you can have safe sex right? so your Mother will have an inkling you may have already dabbled in it and it might make a difference to what pill they prescribe to you and also to let them know when you had sex and if your periods are regular i think it is important to tell i know it may cause you to feel ashamed but hey she is with you knowing your going to get the pill because your maybe already sexually active?

I'm guessing your mother already either knows or suspects you've had sex previously if she's taking you to see the doc to get you put on the pill. There's no need to hide things from your mother though - she'll have your best interests at heart now and for always. Remember - she was a teenager once and knows what you're thinking because she's already 'been there'!

You probably shouldn't lie to your doctor as this is a health issue. I know you don't want your parents to know but I think your health is more important than keeping it a secret. Your mom will most likely get mad at first but if she loves you, she'll help you through it.
