Do I forget about this incident and hope its a one time thing?

ok been on a date with this lad and it went really well we went for a walk and a long chat, i then invited him to my friends house as a few of us were meeting up he turned up drunk and he had driven as well he also smokes which kinda puts me off, i'm quite shocked as he told me he was not like he used to be but he doesnt appear to have changed that much i dont want to fall for him just to find out he is a complete idiot and will treat me badly but as we are not technically together is it my place to say i want him to stop drink driving and smoking

do i forget about this insident and hope it was a one off or what???

please help

If he's that stupid to turn up to meet a girl in a complete mess then he's an idiot. Most people make an effort to show their best side when beginning to date someone.

Drinking and driving is the most irresponisble thing a person can do, you already know he's a complete idiot now, so I'd move if I were you, if he's that careless about his own safety then he'll be just as careless with your feelings.

You can't change him, you telling you'd like him to stop smoking and drink-driving isn't going to change him, even if he did, he'll still be an irresponsible idiot in other ways.
