All the guys I knew who were very "nerdy" and lower on the attractive scale would stick themselves to this one girl that didn't like them and would border on stalkerism.
Everyone else? No. They think you don't like em and move on.

Guys, especially younger ones, love a chase. But you can't play too hard to get. They respond best when a girl gives them a little bit of her attention and then pulls away, as if too busy. Like for example, tell a guy they are funny or cute or some compliment and touch the arm or chest while talking. Then just casually walk away without even saying anything and give all attention to someone else. They go nuts when they see a girl doesn't really care if they are around or not. It for sure gets them to work harder to get the attention back on them. Works every time :)

reader, anonymous, writes (6 September 2010): It depends on the guy. Sometimes it makes them crave a response, but sometimes it appears as if your giving them the cold shoulder. Only a couple guys are into someone that plays hard to get, but most just want someone to talk to. Me personally, if a girl waits like an hour to txt me back, id be really annoyed.
