i have a problem with my sister .. well before two days i was eating dinner with my friend then my sister walked in and said yay i want some i winked to my friend and said to my sister there is a little you can't eat -i was kidding- then she got mad and went to mum and mum came and yelled at me i tired to call my sister many times but she didn't answer and i sent her msgs saying sorry but she didn't reply too (shes married) and yesterday she came to sleep over but since that when i talk to her she answers with short answers or goes to the other room .. was it my mistake , and i did a very hurtful thing to her ?!! or she and mum over reacted ?!!

i really don't know what to do she is my only sister plus she always yells at me in front of my friends which is really embarrassing .. so what should i do now ?!

PsyCookie agony auntDoes your sister have a history of being oversensitive?

If she does you have to start acting more serious with her. Those kind of people are very hard to joke with and some jokes will likely offend them.

Also, not trying to be sexist, but was your sister on her period or almost going to get it? You well may know how some girls react for the littlest things when their getting near their periods. Also, would it be a possibility that she's pregnant?

Is she stressed for any reason? There are many things that may be stressing her out and probably you making the joke was the thing that tipped the glass. I doubt someone would flip out for something like that unless there were many things going around her head.

But nevertheless, you said sorry to her and you meant it. Now its her turn to accept the apologie. Just wait for her to calm down and realize her behavior towards you was innapropiate.

Good luck

Well then you kinda have to accept that you hurt her and wait for her to get over it. It's what happens when you offend someone.

Peterk5699 agony auntIs your sister overweight and/or worried about her weight/size? If so then you may have offended her and, in a way, called her fat.

You'll need to just have a quiet word with either your mum or your sister or both. I'd say it's best to tell your mum you were only joking around and that you meant no harm and if you have offended either tell them you're sorry and it was all a misunderstanding.

You might also want to text your sister and say something similar and ask her to forgive you.

Good luck,
