Men especially are respond to visual stimuli, sexually.

Porn is basically like fast food. It's great. We love to watch it and use it often as a masturbation aide, because we don't have to work at creating an image or sounds in our head so much because we can cater for pretty much every fantasy we might have.

But in the end, like fast food, its great if you need a quick fix, but it emotionally devoid. There will never be anything like having a living, breathing human being in your arms.

Women swear by sex toys as well, but I think most would never give up sex with a living person for it if it came down to choice. You can't share an emotional bond with a machine that can;t think for itself.

So, porn taps into the immediate sexual desire and release. But for the real experience, you always have to go to someone you love.

Matt269 agony auntalso some people watch porn to learn about different positions or how to be better at sex. when i was younger i used to look at porn quite often. but when i grew up and had a girlfriend i didn't feel the need to anymore. plus i'm sure my girlfriend would not have liked it lol.

I've never been big into porn myself but I have friends who are and generally they like watching sex when they have no way to have real life sex (I have a girlfriend so I don't have this problem haha) and it's a way to get close to the actual experience of sex... of course nothing like the real thing but when I was single, and I'd go months at a time without sex, sometimes I just wanted to watch it to remind myself how it's done haha.

This is the same for my male friends, they don't watch it when they're getting some.

Matt269 agony aunthmm. well i suppose it could be about the fantasy part of it. often people fantasize about naked people. i guess sometimes people just get tired or bored of regular sex so they look at porn. porn can be a fantasy for people. i'm not endorsing it or anything but i suppose that's the reason why i looked at it. some porn can be gross lol.
