Could seeing me make him more depressed and lonely?

Question - (24 June 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 24 June 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

My ex boyfriend has been really depressed and lonely after us breaking up. He asked me to see him and be in his life in some way, but I refused because I couldn't handle seeing him not as my boyfriend. After two months later from the breakup, I took him out for dinner for my life was also miserable without him and I missed him so much. We had a great time on that date - it was like the day when we fell in love with each other.

However, he later told me that he slept with one of his exes after that night (we didn't talk about getting back together that night, it was just our first dinner after the breakup), who asked him to get back with her during our breakup. I know that it is not cheating for we were not together at that time. (We are now).

But I just can't understand why he did that when he finally saw me after the breakup, which he really wished?? He said that he never stop loving me.

Could seeing me make him more depressed and lonely? Or horny? Can this also be considered some sort of rebound sex??

bobbles32 agony auntSounds like rebound.. I know it hurts but try not to focus on it too much. Instead, concentrate on how he was a stand-up guy and let you know what happened. He sounds like he is honest, and that is something to really value in a relationship. Lots of guys wouldnt have even mentioned it, so consider yourself privelidged! I hope it works out for you two :)
