I had unprotected sex with my partner and now we are worried that there could be a possibility of me being pregnant. Unfortunately it was not possible to get hold of the Morning After Pill. How long should I wait before taking a pregnancy test? M ny thanks.

 You should be using something easier for your lifestyle since you cannot remember to take your pill daily.
Try an IUD, or the shot or patch. Also, you should be using condoms in addition to the BC. Nothing is 100% safe. If you are worried about being pregnant, take more serious steps in the future to prevent it.

reader, anonymous, writes (22 February 2009): you need to wait until the pill break, if you don't have a bleed then take a pregnancy test. Just a thought, maybe the combined pill is not the best option for contraception for you if you have trouble remembering to take it? you should speak to your GP about more reliable forms- implant or injection- good luck!
