Can I get braces on an Irish medical card?

Im sorry i didnt know where else to post this, i'm appealing to Irish people or others who know about the Irish medical card, Before i get into this i just want to say to all of those who will answer go to the dentist, my parents both lost their jobs and money is quite tight these days, basically my question is my teeth on my bottom jaw go numb and tingly from what i believe is pressure from the other teeth can i get braces on the medical card

ps. we dont have our medical card yet

i am Ireland on medical card i don,t think you can.they 600 euros for braces.medical card cover only very very basic and braces to government is luxury to straighting your teeth.you have waiting list.my sister has been waiting list for 3 years for braces.she hasn,t got them
