Is it advisable to be friends with an ex that tells you they love you but don't know who they are and what they want? And that they want to be with you more that anything, but wonder if they want to be with a woman or not at the same time, and is trying to be true to thenselves, blah blah?

Not only is it advisable for you to remain friends,it is probably essential as this ex is obviously tormented .over his sexuality and emotions. so therefore you maybe able to help him with a very difficult period.If you loved him once it must have been for a reason.

I would take some time to heal first. To hang with her while you still have strong feelings for her would only hurt you and anger you.

I would tell her that you wish her the best and hope she sorts things out.

Then it is up to you if wish to remain friends so long as it does not hurt you. Friendship should never hurt.

I still believe forgiveness is key and do so on your own timeline.
