Yes in some cases depending on the job i think in certain establishments they still harbour a lot of old feelings that some women are not just up to the job as it were, but giving a chance i think most women would be up for the challenge.

Women are not built the same way men are and as such certain jobs are just a litle bit harder for women then they are for men.
And the same is true in reverse.
You don't see too many female builders around, now, do you? There are quite a few reasons for this.
1) The work is rough. It's heavy and women are simply not buolt to handle that kind of punishment on a daily basis like men.
2) Tradesman are notoriously rough as well. This means a female, any female, will have them acting like horses next to a mare on heat. Not good for productivity.
This is just an example. There a plenty of female builders to challenge the stereo-type.
I'm just saying, it isn't sexist to think men and women are better at certain things then each other.

Yes in most cases, but certain trades with in the British military still don't accept women in. But that's more because of the way the male soldiers would react than a lack of ability.
I really think you need to specify what kind of job though.

To my wife,
My official answer:
Of course she can! Even better.
But what exactly is a "male job"?
